On a fairly recent trip to McDonalds the kids found a special surprise in their happy meals. A CD called Kidz Bop, with four horrifying songs on it. My kids treasure these stupid CD's and listen to them every chance they can get (although they are kept in Kit's car...smart thinking by me.)
If you aren't familiar with KidZ bop (why is it cool to add a Z on to something that should have an S- same with adding two x's to something: Thatz cool to the maxx.)
Anyway, it is a combination of desperate-for-a-job adult singers and a chorus of children singing "cool" and "popular" songs. Its all just a little off-key and there are words substituted in here and there.
Songs such as:
Pink: Lets get this party started
Pussycat Dolls: I'm gonna stick wit chu
Barenaked Ladies: All star
If this CD isn't good enough birth control for those of you who don't have kids, I don't know what is. Because until you are ready to have your ears bleed for the sake of your children's happiness, don't make one :)

Amen! However, my mom made a CD of Michael Jackson's hits that has replaced Kidz Bop, thank goodness. I am sure she would burn you one if you would like!
