Last night I went to a "fundraising" dinner for cancer research for the Huntsman Cancer Institute, with my Dad.
We had to dress in "cowboy chic" and were both ready to leave upon arrival because we saw a lot of people and not one was dressed in any sort of cowboy gear. Luckily, as we went in further there were plenty of people who looked like cowboys (some a little too much, I would say.)

It was a nice night. Nice food (I saw Jerry Sloan, my Dad had to hold me back from running and asking for his autograph.) It was nice to see wealthy people very free with their money donating it to cancer research. I couldn't believe how people were donating 10, 20 and 50 thousand dollars to research. It would be cool if I could have raised my hand up and donated something too, but, lets face it, I need donations for myself! Ha! Thank you Dad, for inviting me to go. It was fun to be there with you, even if people thought I was lying about being your daughter.

I thought a lot about my Grandpa and hoped that with all the money that was raised there can be at least one little step made toward helping people not to suffer as he did.

To end on a happy note, here are a few more of the family pictures we had done. I really do love them, the colors are just what I had in mind! I am so blessed with the health of my little family. Oh, and apparently I'm getting skinny because Olivia looked at me in my jeans before I left last night and said "Mom, your legs are getting so little!"

Thanks Liv. Next time tell me how little everything else is looking too.
