Tonight I had a nice visit with my parents and with my Grandparents. I realized three things tonight in the time we spent together.

1. Being Pregnant is always a miracle from God. Despite the severe morning sickness and depression, I need to step back and be grateful.

2. Whether this child is a boy or girl, the ultimate importance is for the baby to be healthy. How trivial it is to hope for a boy so he can play football, or for a girl to dress her up in bows. These are fun exciting things to hope for but talking with my Grandma about her daughter (my aunt) that recently passed away.... my Grandma simply said, you don't realize what you have got until its gone. So I basically got a strong feeling that as I continue through this pregnancy with a calm heart, a glad heart and gentle spirit. I must know this is a pure miracle inside of me, a little soul who met my Aunt in heaven and met my grandpa in heaven as well.

So as it is fun to hope for a boy or a girl (and we all do!) I realized today with the conversation with my Grandma that life is too short and too sweet then to want anything more than a pink healthy baby.

Sweet - boy or girl will be wonderful, but my prediction is that the baby will be pink when it's born and it will be wearing a lot of pink afterward as well! Blue is good though!!
